The cardboard-box cutting machine VKS 200 from the LIGMATECH company finishes cuts-to-size packing made of corrugated board –namely in the required number of pieces, the optimum size, and at the right moment. Various tool configurations permit the customized manufacture of cardboard products for every kind and size of products. LIGMATECH developed this new generation of cardboard-box cutting machine in cooperation with the company PACKSIZE.

Focussed on efficiency: The just-in-time production of the packing reduces the storage expenses and logistic activities considerably, decreases the packaging times, and optimizes the product protection. "More and more customers are convinced and rely on this solution," emphasizes Laurent Heimen, Sales Manager of the LIGMATECH company.

Today's product diversity in the company leads to the stock-keeping of a multitude of preassembled cardboard products of very different sizes. But still, the optimum cardboard-box size is often not in stock for every product. Consequently, additional filling materials are required to fill the remaining hollow space. This results in unnecessary transport volumes and high storage and logistics expenses. The just-in-time production of customized packing reduces these expenses considerably. Another advantage: The packing is a "one-material" one and has not to be separated and stored expensively for the correct recycling.
Optimum product protection also without additional filling materials
Customized packing designs ensure an optimum packaging of the products – to be more precise also without any additional filling materials. Fronts, finish assembled carcasses or knocked-down furniture are optimally protected for their way to the customer. Consequently, expensive transport damages will not occur.

Above all, the design scores with a high performance and a convenient ergonomic handling even of large-sized parts. As an optional equipment, the Boomerang® ZHR 500 can be completed by a stacking and feeding function. The technology, thus, creates competitive advantages thanks to the increase of efficiency in productivity.
